The BSM Car Park Network collaborates with Mercats de Barcelona in its new grocery collection service available to the public.
Thus, refrigerated lockers have been installed in the car parks BSM La Boqueria, BSM Mercat de Sant Antoni, BSM Mercat Sagrada Família and BSM Mercat del Guinardó, all of them located and serving the municipal markets of the same name.
This initiative, operated and managed by Mercats de Barcelona, consists of the installation of refrigerated cabinets, which are kept at temperatures of between 2 and 8 degrees, with individual compartments, digital interface and connected to the Internet, allowing market stallholders to dispose of their groceries and customers to collect them conveniently and safely.
The lockers are managed through a web booking portal (Marketplace) where stallholders can book the lockers, either for the same day or for future dates, subject to availability.
Customers are informed at all times of the status of their orders and have all the detailed information: delivery locker, date and time of delivery, location and pick-up code. Communications are sent by e-mail and, when the order is ready for collection, an SMS is sent.
Consolidation of the BSM Car Parks as a Hub for mobility services
The BSM Car Park Network is consolidating its position as a Hub for mobility services, making its infrastructure available to mobility operators to offer urban mobility solutions that respond to new consumption patterns.
Turning the B:SM Parking Network into a Mobility Services Hub is a further demonstration of BSM's commitment to contribute to improving mobility in Barcelona through sustainable, healthy, efficient, connected and shared solutions.
